While this is another great Star Wars adaptation for kids-compared to the older Star Wars golden books, I thought this one was really wordy and much more intense。 It also glosses over death and killing, but overall it is a good book for parents who might want their kids to understand whats going on before watching the films
Eugenio,
It feels like when compared to the older Golden label SW books, this one is intense with story and really wordy。 I liked it over all but my daughters enjoyment drops this to 3 stars。

Great book for beginner readers。
Cassey,
Perfect for a Star Wars little - Keiden has us read this every day。
Vallyn,
The illustrations in this books were very nice。 My daughter really seemed to enjoy them。 Nice synopsis of the whole story in a quick easy read。
Laura,
If your child loves Star Wars, he or she will love this book。 The pictures explode from the page as the story unfolds for your pre-schooler/early reader。

Star Wars Little Golden Book adaptation of Force Awakens: Good!
L,
A beautiful stylish retelling of the Star Wars saga for young readers。
David Salter,
Like the adaptations of episodes 1-6, the Little Golden Book adaptation of Star Wars episode 7: The Force Awakens, does a serviceable job of fulfilling its raison d'etre, which is to allow parents of a certain generation to bring their young progeny up to speed on the basic characters and plot of the Star Wars films in preparation to actual viewing of the films at a later, more age-appropriate date。 In fact, the flat, stylized semi-cartoonish illustrations go a touch above-and-beyond and are rat Like the adaptations of episodes 1-6, the Little Golden Book adaptation of Star Wars episode 7: The Force Awakens, does a serviceable job of fulfilling its raison d'etre, which is to allow parents of a certain generation to bring their young progeny up to speed on the basic characters and plot of the Star Wars films in preparation to actual viewing of the films at a later, more age-appropriate date。 In fact, the flat, stylized semi-cartoonish illustrations go a touch above-and-beyond and are rather charming in their own right。And that's pretty much the sum total of my take on the first six adaptations。However。。。In the case of The Force Awakens, the simplified version of the film's story makes blazingly clear just how large a percentage of its plot episode seven shares with episode four, to the extent that it's just freakin' impossible to ignore the fact that The Force Awakens is a degraded second generation photocopy of A New Hope。 I lost track of the number of times my five year old daughter chimed in with "That's just like in the other book when。。。" during our bedtime reading of this one。-2 stars for being a mediocre reboot of the first film rather than an original story。+1 star for the fairly decent illustrations 。。。more
Kelly,
Picked this up on a whim at the local comics shop, ostensibly for my kids (who haven't seen the movie), but you know。 Impressed by the succinct and mostly on-target summary of the story, and liked the illustration-style。 Picked this up on a whim at the local comics shop, ostensibly for my kids (who haven't seen the movie), but you know。 Impressed by the succinct and mostly on-target summary of the story, and liked the illustration-style。 。。。more
Cheryl Gladfelter,
Seriously, these Golden Book adaptations of Star Wars are awesome。 I would have loved them as a kid as much as I love them as an adult。
